Stripies

A couple of recent catches, one from the River Bure, Norfolk (above )
and one from the River Eden,Kent,(below)
both fish about the lb mark , lovely colours from 2 very different waters

Me and the wife went up to Norfolk for the weekend,
and I managed to sneak a quick session in on the river,in the middle of Wroxham,
had a couple of small perch on Lake Fork Baby Shads fished on a 3g jighead.
Only had a couple of hours,so did not venture far,I found this little mooring off the main river,
where there was a bit of surface activity, so I concentrated my efforts here,
 in and around the woodwork.

Fishing on the Eden this week , with fellow Perch angler Mark Harvey
http://www.pikeandperch.co.uk/
we only managed this one perch between us, and a jack apiece.
The succesful lure was a white kopyto shad on a 4gm jig head.

I just hope the perch fishing improves next year,
as it was a real struggle targeting them this year,
with the poor results that we have had,
it was difficult to keep the motivation going at times,
and not be tempted to go off target.
